View from the choir

I am a Catholic layperson and Secular Franciscan with a sense of humor. After years in the back pew watching, I have moved into the choir. It's nice to see faces instead of the backs of heads. But I still maintain God has a sense of humor - and that we are created in God's image.

In Europe: Christian holidays omitted from student calendars

The European Union has issued a 2011-2012 school calendar that omits Christian holidays - but does continue to list Jewish and Muslim celebrations.

The EU printed three million copies of the calendar. It will distribute them to students who request them.

It seems the de-Chrsitianization of Europe is proceeding full-speed ahead.
