View from the choir

I am a Catholic layperson and Secular Franciscan with a sense of humor. After years in the back pew watching, I have moved into the choir. It's nice to see faces instead of the backs of heads. But I still maintain God has a sense of humor - and that we are created in God's image.

Franciscan wisdom from Blessed Solanus Casey

"So often people hope to find happiness in money or the things money buys. If only they would stop running around, acquiring this or that, instead of seeking happiness only where it can be found - in love of God. They are so foolish." - Venerable Solanus Casey, O.F.M. Cap

While we all anxiously hope, pray and wait for the formal decree of beatification, it is incorrect at this point to refer to Venerable Solanus Casey as "Blessed".
