View from the choir

I am a Catholic layperson and Secular Franciscan with a sense of humor. After years in the back pew watching, I have moved into the choir. It's nice to see faces instead of the backs of heads. But I still maintain God has a sense of humor - and that we are created in God's image.

Mike Huckabee starting to pull away?

So far in 2011, Public Policy Polling has conducted polls in 7 states: West Virginia, North Carolina, Iowa, Nevada, Texas, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey. Governor Mike Huckabee won in five of those states, and tied in New Jersey.

He's also leading in the latest national PPP poll of potential GOP candidates for President - beating Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney by 10.

Mike Pence's decision to run for governor rather than President will potentially swing more votes Huckabee's way.

I'm feeling better about Huckabee's chances than I do of the Mets this year!
