Huckabee - topping the ratings
Huckabee's show - shown Saturday and Sunday nights at 8 on FOX - was the highest rated show its time slot both November 8 and 9 (against other news/talk shows), and the highest rated show overall on Saturday night (beating among others Dobbs, Brown and King on CNN, and Geraldo on Fox).
Cable news networks on weekend nights are not ratings blockbusters, obviously, but still, he is getting an audience and building national recognition.
Gotta love those bass players!

I still don't have cable, so I can't watch his show. How is he as a host?

I've only seen one show and part of another. From what I've seen, not bad, though to my taste a little "soft." Maybe other episodes had more substance.
It's new, so perhaps it still has to hit its stride.
Still, he is genial and he is pulling in all sorts of visitors -Oliver Stone, Richard Dreffus, Joe the Plumber, and someone from the Club for Growth that I'm aware of. I'd like to see some other politicians, civic leaders, etc. mixed in. Maybe he's had some.
The band - the "Little Rockers - is cute. It's made up of Huckabee and various Fox employees (technicians, editors, etc.)
Not a bad show, he seems like a natural in his role as host and interviewer. A nice change from the usual fox political shows where people are always yelling over each other or at each other.
Now that the election is over, it seems that the former Republican candidates have been getting more press/TV time than they ever had before the election.
On November 14, the top rated Saturday night show again.
