View from the choir

I am a Catholic layperson and Secular Franciscan with a sense of humor. After years in the back pew watching, I have moved into the choir. It's nice to see faces instead of the backs of heads. But I still maintain God has a sense of humor - and that we are created in God's image.

A thought (not original) about Judas

Judas was the first person to leave a Mass early.

Ah, what if you're forced to leave Mass early? Not often I can riff off this site with my own, but the Bishops here have formally complained about a police raid that netted a couple of dozen gangsters... alas, during the middle of Mass.

Though even gangsters (probably ESPECIALLY gangsters) probably need all the grace they can get, I suppose having two Black Hawk helicopters, a couple armored trucks, an airplane and 200 well-armed federal agents showing up at Sunday Mass might tend to make you want to duck out early.
