View from the choir

I am a Catholic layperson and Secular Franciscan with a sense of humor. After years in the back pew watching, I have moved into the choir. It's nice to see faces instead of the backs of heads. But I still maintain God has a sense of humor - and that we are created in God's image.

Obama campaign fooled some Catholics

Hey, guess what - The Obama campaign manipulated Catholics!

The intrepid reporters at the Diocese of Kansas City- St. Joseph, Missouri's Catholic Key - those guys are good! - have the scoop.

I wonder when Catholics who tried to justify voting for Obama are going to open their eyes?

Hopefully, in time for 2012.

Lee, I think we all know that organizations like these are connected politically. The president defeated Senator McCain as a repudiation of Republican policy on war, disaster protection, and the economy.

This news could have come out before the election, and it wouldn't have mattered.

The GOP was routed in November. Their political appointees are looking at an unemployment rate in the 70's--that's percent, not decade.

If the Obama administration proves to be as grossly incompetent, they will be turned out of office in 2012. Meanwhile, they still have almost four years to go. It may hurt and it may suck, but Republicans have to learn to live with it.
