View from the choir

I am a Catholic layperson and Secular Franciscan with a sense of humor. After years in the back pew watching, I have moved into the choir. It's nice to see faces instead of the backs of heads. But I still maintain God has a sense of humor - and that we are created in God's image.

I Inflict Another Poem on the Reading Public

I received the May/June issue of Gilbert Magazine today (yes, in Chestertonian style, the issue arrived on August 3rd). To my delight, one of my clerihews was published in it.

President James Polk
would rarely crack a joke.
But his friends say he was quick
with a limerick.
