Proof: Obama Care to pay for abortions
I and other pro-lifers warned about this: President Obama's Health Care Plan will pay for abortions. Yes, he promised it wouldn't, but he deceived us - again.
The first evidence is being provided in Pennsylvania.
The Obama Administration will give Pennsylvania $160 million to set up a new "high-risk" insurance program - and has quietly approved a plan submitted by an appointee of Governor Edward Rendell (D) under which the new program will cover any abortion that is legal in Pennsylvania.
Under the plan, the program will pay for any abortion deemed "necessary (i.e. you just have to get a doctor to say it is, whether it really is or not) can be performed at under 24 weeks for any reason except sex selection.
The high-risk pool program is one of the new programs created by the health care legislation President Obama signed into law on March 23. The law authorizes $5 billion in federal funds for the program, which will cover as many as 400,000 people when it is implemented nationwide. The program is paid for by federal money.
President Obama issued and executive order regarding funding for abortion, but that order has no real power, and the legislation, as approved, will pay for abortions. We now have the first instance. More will follow.
