View from the choir

I am a Catholic layperson and Secular Franciscan with a sense of humor. After years in the back pew watching, I have moved into the choir. It's nice to see faces instead of the backs of heads. But I still maintain God has a sense of humor - and that we are created in God's image.

Another nice tune from The Thirsting.

I just posted to their Facebook page to let them know that you featured them in your blog.

I love The Thirsting! Their music is so spiritual and uplifting. They're also some of my greatest friends.

I can't wait until they release their new album. They've had a few issues recording, but they're working on it.

Anyway, thanks for featuring them here!

My favorite band! They are still an independant band, so they need the fans to step up and promote their style of leading people to Jesus Christ.

Check out their site, www.thethirstingcatholic.com to hear more music. If you like it, determine what you can do to bring them to your town for concerts. I've brought them to Omaha twice so far and I'm hoping to create a Nebraska tour next year - but I'm just one person.

I can't wait for their upcoming second album!

These guys are fabulous! As previous poster said, they are still independent so let's do what we can to help get them out there to more people! They just played in Eureka, CA and it happened mostly because my 7 year old son loved them so much when we saw them last year in WA, while visiting family. He bugged me all year long to get them down here to play for his school. They came to St. Bernard's Catholic School and attended morning prayer with our high school and then came to our Mary crowning service and prayed the rosary with our K-8 grade. Then that night they performed at the Arkley Center and had that place rocking! They even invited some of the kids from St. Bernard's to join them onstage singing Hail, Holy Queen! Their songs are so powerful, and the energy of their shows really bring The Word to kids in a way that they can enjoy. More of their songs are available to hear on their myspace page too. http://www.myspace.com/wearethethirsting

We are already planning on bringing them back again next year!
